The Dorcas Circle is a daytime women’s fellowship group. The Dorcas Circle usually meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am with the exception of the months of July and August.
Join us for our November 14th meeting as we welcome guest speaker, Dan Merenda. Dan is the President of the Council of Community Service. He will provide information on the efforts to end homelessness in the valley and the results and ways in which the faith community can help. Lissy Merenda will be sharing a proposal.
December 12th the Circle will be gathering at the Bussey home for their annual Christmas Lunch. If you should need a ride, car-pooling will be arranged. This will be pot luck so please bring a dish to share. Meat and beverages will be provided. Our special guest speaker will be Tabitha Rudy. If you should like more information, please call the church office.
About the Circle The name, DORCAS, is found in Acts 9:31-41. Dorcas was a woman who filled her days with acts of kindness and charity. At her death many came to show the shirts and coats that she had made for them. Thus, The DORCAS Circle, whose membership consists of all women of the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren, fill their days with acts of kindness and Charily. Nurture, service and fellowship are the goals of the DORCAS Circle.
